Facial Scrub
To make your own deep pore cleansing facial scrub blend
1 Tablespoon honey with 1/4 medium cucumber that has been peeled.
Mix the ingredients in a blender until smooth and add a small amount of water if needed.
Strain the mixture and remove the vegetable and honey mixture into a small bowl. Add the following mixed meals to the liquid
1 teaspoon almond meal,
1 teaspoon seed meal,
1 teaspoon ground oatmeal,
1 teaspoon sunflower seed meal,
1 teaspoon wheat germ. This should form a smooth past for a gentle scrub.
Follow up this treatment with a moisturizer.
Facial Steams
A herbal facial steam is another good way to soften your skin and allow your pores to breath and release toxins. Boil three cups of distilled water and remove it from the heat before adding the following herbs.
Add 1 teaspoons Calendula,
1 teaspoon Chamomile,
1 teaspoon Raspberry leaves and 1 teaspoon Peppermint.
After the herbs have seeped for about 10 minutes, use a hand-towel to create a tent over your head and shoulders. Close your eyes, breath in deeply and relax!
After a facial steam, you could continue your facial with a mask and moisturizer to benefit the most from your treatments.
Watermelon Toner
2 Tablespoons fresh watermelon juice
1 Tablespoon vodka
2 Tablespoons witch hazel
2 Tablespoons distilled water
Strain the watermelon juice to get rid of seeds and fruit pieces. Combine all ingredients in small bowl and stir well. Pour into clean containers with tight-fitting lids.
To use: pour a small amount on a clean cotton pad and apply to face. Store in fridge between uses to retain freshness. Will keep approximately one week.
