Basic Facial Scrub Mix
½ cup finely ground oatmeal
¼ cup rice flour
1 tablespoon of powdered cinnamon
Combine the ingredients in an airtight jar.
When you want to make a facial scrub, just add 2 teaspoons of the mix to a bowl and add enough of a wet ingredient to make a paste.
Good examples of wet ingredients are; egg yolk, fruit, honey, yoghurt or milk.
You could use one wet ingredient or a combination such as banana and yoghurt.
Apply the scrub to a damp face and gently massage into the skin in upward circular motions. Thoroughly rinse off with warm water and a cloth.
Chamomile Facial
-chamomile tea or fresh chamomile blossoms
-Boiling water
Place tea or blossoms into a large bowl. Pour boiling water into bowl. Hold your face a few inches over the the bowl and let the steam do it's work.
The combination of chamomile and steam will leave your skin fresh and dewy. If needed you can use an astringent afterward. Witch-Hazel is an organic low-cost astringent that can be purchased for much less than name-brand astringents.
Citrus Freshener
Offer this spritzer to your guest to refresh after or instead of their facial.
2 cups boiling water
1 vitamin C (a preservative)
Lemon peel (zest) from 2 lemons
Dissolve the vitamin in water. In a glass bowl put the lemon zest and pour the water over them. Let it sit over night. Remove the zest and put in a spray bottle. You can use any type of citrus peel.
