Homemade Skin Toners

Skin Toners are the next step after a facial cleansing routine. Skin toners ensure complete removal from the skin of all cleansing preparations. They freshen and tone up the skin and prepare a clean surface for the application of make-up.

Lemony mint facial toner

Ingredients:

1 peppermint tea bag
1/4 cup witch hazel
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
1 cup of boiling water

Preparation:

Steep tea in water for 10 minutes
Remove the tea bag and let cool. Mix in the lemon juice and witch hazel and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
This mixture is also save and recommended for use every day.

Tips for using Skin Toners

Using a cotton ball, apply the skin toner sweeping it gently across your face. The cotton ball should be clean when toning. If it is not clean, then your cleansing has not been done correctly.
Don't tone your skin if it is dirty. Skin toning should be done only after the skin has been completely cleansed.
You can, however use toners before or after applying skin masks.

All natural skin toners are easy to make yourself and can aid in restoring your skin's natural beauty.
