Body Treatment

Relax and take care of yourself with one of these homemade spa treatments. Make it a point to spend a little time each week pampering yourself with some homemade spa products.
They only take a few minutes to put together and you probably have most of the ingredients in the house already.

Decorative Soap Balls

1 bar soap
3 Tbsp. water
1 to 3 drops food coloring
fragrance (optional)

Grate soap using grater or food processor. Mix water and food coloring; bring to a boil in saucepan. Add soap; lower heat and stir rapidly for 2 minutes until all shavings are colored. The mixture should be consistency of clay. Form balls. Spray molds with cooking oil spray. Mold while warm. May be reheated if becomes difficult to work with. Note: 1 bar soap makes 3 to 4 shapes, depending on size.

Invigorating Coffee Scrub

3 T Coffee grounds (organic-caffeinated)
1 T Salt (optional)

To Make:
Brew a fresh pot of coffee. Enjoy a cup, if you like. Put grounds (and salt) in a small bowl. Use grounds within 20 minutes of brewing before oxidation occurs.
To Use:
Scrub mixture over entire body while in the shower. Rinse. Tone. Moisturize.
